Good Morning:
Howard Ruff on Gold
On January 15 Karen Roche, Publisher of The Gold Report interviewed Howard Ruff.
You can read the full text of the interview titled 'Howard Ruff: Reprising (and
Preparing for) Rough Times' by clicking here.
By way of brief summary Howard Ruff, who recently wrote
How to Prosper in the Age of Obamanomics: A Ruff Plan for Hard Times Ahead
(available on Amazon), said in his interview
with Karen last week:
· the U.S. prospectively will even more aggressively print money
than it has to date, and that 'inflation is in our future';
· he likes physical gold 'very much', but does not like gold futures;
· he likes gold (and I think silver) mining shares as a category,
but concentrates his investments on companies with operations in the U.S. and Canada;
· he likes silver better than gold going forward from a potential
price % increase point of view, thinks gold doesn't have 'a lot of utility', and
thinks people are better off buying silver;
· he is not very worried about the possibility of the U.S government
confiscating physical gold (as it did in the early 1930's);
· when holding mining shares he believes in a portfolio that balances
producers, developers (who I take to be companies with NI-43101 resources and reserves
that are in the production planning phase, but who have not as yet achieved commercial
production), and explorers; and,
· he likes both uranium and oil going forward.
I have not read Ruff's new book, so have no comment on it. I strongly recommend
you click here and read Karen Roche's entire interview with
him for both context and completeness.
StockResearchPortal.com ('SRP') has an arrangement with
The Gold Report ('AU') pursuant to which AU links the companies it writes
about to SRP 'Segregated Company Data Pages', and uploads Newsletter Writer commentaries
it prepares to the SRP website. I suggest readers visit the AU website as
Karen and her staff interview interesting (and I think sometimes controversial)
commentators and experts, and reproduce those interviews on the AU website.
SRP E-mail Archives
We have just added a new feature to StockResearchPortal.com. Each day visitors
to our website can read the 'Latest SRP E-mail'
by clicking on the red button so-named that is found in the upper middle of the
Home Page. The webpage that opens also provides immediate access to the 'Most
Recent 10' SRP E-mail, Archived SRP E-mails, and Archived SRP Newsletters - all
of which can be accessed from the Main Navigation Bar by clicking 'Newsletter/E-Mail
Archive'.
